Graduates Earn Stellar Scholarships

As this year’s graduating 8th grade class steps through the doors of ICS, they are entering a world full of excitement and possibilities.  Many of these students will be attending excellent private high schools, and some have earned fantastic scholarships – the combined class total is over $100,000!  Two ICS students, Amanda Cortes and Adriana Roman, are a part of the Oliver Scholars Program, which helps highly motivated students enroll in top-notch schools and attain substantial scholarships.

“The program helped me pick a school that is the right fit for me,” said Adriana, who will attend St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts.  Amanda, who will go to the Nightingale-Bamford school in Manhattan, added, “Becoming an Oliver Scholar was a lot of hard work, but it has already paid off.  I feel prepared to do my best in high school, and I have even met some of my future classmates.”  Congratulations to Amanda, Adriana, and the rest of the 2012 graduating class!
