Exchanging Ideas for Education
On October 25th, ICS hosted a delegation of education officials from the Dominican Republic’s Ministry of Education as part of an educational exchange program with Cardinal Hayes High School and ICS. The visitors observed classes, learned about the school’s special programs, and shared their own insights from teaching in Santo Domingo, their nation’s capital and largest city.
“It was neat to share my student experiences with the delegates,” said Maria Nolasco, a 7th grade student who helped show the guests around and translate for other students. “Things I see every day here, like
decorations and student work on classroom walls, were new to them.” Both ICS and the delegates learned from the visit, and we hope this new relationship continues to flourish!
