ICS Students Give Back

December 21, 2015

This year we have incorporated four core values into our school community: integrity, humility, hard work, and service. Immaculate Conception is working hard to make service a priority in school culture. There are many events happening in December centered around giving back. The Yankee Food Drive is one of the many ways ICS students are making a difference in their community. ICS students brought in canned goods that were then delivered to Yankee Stadium on December 16th. The food students will stock pantries for local food banks.

On December 14th, ICS held its Dream Big Assembly, a production put on by Disney Friends for Change and Free the Children. The Dream Big presenters Lindy Keefe and Theresa Girardi talked about how young people can make a difference in our world using their creativity.  After the assembly, Ms. Frazier’s 7th grade class had an interactive workshop with the presenters where they discussed and planned out how they would turn their ideas into action.

We are proud of our students’ dedication to helping others and we look forward to continue giving back through the rest of the school year.
