Farewell to Mrs. Collins
September 17, 2015
Every year ICS has to say goodbye to faculty members, but this one is especially painful. This past school year was the last for Mrs. Collins, one of our stellar first grade teachers. Mrs. Collins, who began teaching in 1976, has spent the past fourteen years teaching first grade at Immaculate Conception School. During that time our students have benefitted from her patience, and the dedication she has spent making sure every child is ready for the second grade. “I will miss working with the students, faculty, and staff,” she stated. “So much love was shown, and I’m going to miss that.” Mrs. Collins had two grandchildren come here: one just graduated 8th grade, and another will do the same in the 2015-2016 school year. We are sad to see her go, but happy to know that she will continue to be a part of our community.
