Record Year for Pinstripe Benefit
September 17, 2015
On Friday, May 8th, Immaculate Conception students and supporters spent the evening at Yankee Stadium to celebrate the 5th annual Pinstripe Benefit. The event built on the success of the last four years, setting an attendance record with over 150 guests. Many guests were familiar faces, but we were excited to welcome new friends and introduce them to the school.
Before the first pitch, guests mingled with students in our box suite provided by Party City. Guests had a great view when six ICS students were honored on the field before the game for their team spirit. Attendees were wowed by our 8th grade speakers Nikolas F. and Vanessa M, who talked about their experience at ICS. Vanessa highlighted the opportunities ICS provided, including her nomination and acceptance into the prestigious Oliver Scholars program when she was in 7th grade. Nikolas focused on the community at ICS, from which his mother, brothers and sister also graduated. The perfect night came to a close when the Yankees defeated their divisional rivals, the Baltimore Orioles.
“This was a wonderful event to raise money towards a good cause,” said an attendee “And what perfect weather for a Friday night!”
We are very grateful for our school board members who invited friends, donated silent auction items and attended the event. As a result of their hard work, we raised over $36,000. A special thank you goes to the Muccia family for bringing in so may attendees, and sponsoring the catering cost. We look forward to another great Pinstripe Benefit in 2016!
