Welcome to Immaculate Conception School

Founded in 1854, Immaculate Conception School (ICS) is the oldest Catholic school in the Bronx. Immaculate Conception School offers a quality education to students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our dedicated faculty strives to develop each student academically, spiritually, psychologically, and physically. We aim to assist and complement parents in their role as their children's primary educators.

 Mission Statement and Philosphy

The mission of Immaculate Conception School is to provide a quality, Catholic education for our students in a safe, Christ-centered environment.

We believe that a quality education is centered around Catholic values. Therefore, Catholic values are modeled by our staff, expected of our students, and integrated into our curriculum. We believe that our students should be challenged to grow intellectually, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We believe that children need a safe environment to learn effectively. We believe that our students must be prepared to thrive in one of the world's most multi-cultural communities. We believe that education begins at home and should continue at home. Above all, we believe that Jesus Christ must be our role model in all aspects of education. Therefore, we strive to proclaim the Good News as Jesus did through a solid faith formation program, a Christian community experience, and a life of service.
