Enroll Your Child

Is there still space available for new students?

Enrollment for the 2013-14 school year is open and ongoing; new students are continuously accepted until both classrooms in a grade level are full.

Can I come visit ICS before I enroll?

Absolutely!  ICS holds frequent open houses throughout the spring and summer, and tours can be arranged upon request.  To set up a visit, please call the school.

How does the enrollment process work?

Enrollment is a two-step process.  First, every student must take an entrance exam to make sure that he or she is at grade level and ready for the school year.

If the child is accepted, then parents make a second appointment to officially register by filling out necessary forms and signing a contract with the school.

What content is on the entrance test?

For students in grades 1st through 8th, the test consists of math and reading questions based on their current grade level (i.e., a student entering 5th Grade in the fall would be tested on topics learned in 4th Grade).

For Pre-K and Kindergarten students, an ICS teacher administers the test directly to the child.  The exam is designed to measure the child’s knowledge of basic concepts as well as ensure that he or she is prepared to learn in a classroom setting.

What do I pay when I register?

A fee of $15 is due the day of testing, and a fee of $50 is required to register.  Additionally, new families must pay the first month’s tuition payment in advance upon registration. More information can be found here.

Does the school accommodate students with IEPs?

Please visit the Student Support page for more information on the support ICS offers. Principal Owens will also review your child’s Individualized Education Program form to evaluate whether or not ICS offers the necessary resources.
